Mavora Parade is a small online steamer counter in Lucknow selling handheld garment steamers and travel irons. Every listing carries the wattage, the tank volume and the manufacturer’s heat-up time, and the dual-voltage models are marked as such rather than left for you to discover at an airport.

A travel steamer that was not
A compact steamer bought specifically for travel turned out to be single-voltage. It worked perfectly at home and did nothing useful on the first trip it was bought for. The listing had used the word travel four times and stated the voltage nowhere.
So voltage is now printed on every listing next to the wattage, with the plug type, and the models that genuinely handle both supplies are the only ones we call travel steamers. Everything else is a home steamer, however small it is.

What we will not claim
We will not call a single-voltage unit a travel steamer, we will not quote a heat-up time we have not seen sourced, and we will not photograph a steamer removing creases it could not manage in one pass. These are used within an hour of arriving, which is a very short window in which to be caught overstating.
